Our Names Are Written On The Heart Of The Father

MG and I were walking through a cemetery (working on something we’ll share with you soon), reading names etched in stone—thousands of them.

But then we stopped.

There was one marker that simply read: “Unknown.”

“Why didn’t anyone know them?” she whispered.

And I wondered the same…

What does it mean to live a whole life and not be remembered by name?

But here’s what I shared with her.

No one is ever truly unknown.
Not to the One who created them.
Not to the God who sees every story, every tear, every breath.

That moment became a beautiful reminder:
Even when the world doesn’t see you, He does.
Even when you feel overlooked, you are fully known.

Teach your daughter this truth.
Remind her often.
Because there will be moments she’ll need to carry it close:

You are deeply seen and loved by the God who never misses a detail.

Let’s raise daughters who know their names are written on the heart of the Father.
