How I Save Up “Free Fun Money” for Our Mother–Daughter Adventures
I love all of our Mother-Daughter adventures; however. But, I don’t like spending a lot of money on them. And I have always loved bargains and saving money. So when I can earn “free” money, I am on board!
I want to share three of my favorite go to apps with you today. Some of these have amazing sign up bonus at the time of this posting. (Bonus offers fluctuate throughout the year) They all have cash-back rewards that add up little by little. Nothing complicated, nothing overwhelming… just practical tools that make the everyday things we’re already doing work for us.
I have personally used all three apps for years to help me save money for road trips, creative projects, coffee dates, and all the little memory-making moments MG and I love so much.
Let’s get started and jumpstart your own “free fun money” stash.
Upside: Cash Back on Gas You’re Already Buying
Gas is something we all have to buy, so why not get rewarded for it?
Upside is an app you download, and every time you fill up your tank, you earn real money back.
Not points. Not coupons.
Actual cash.
I love it because you can transfer the earnings directly into your bank account.
Over time, those little cash-back amounts add up, and we use them for snacks on road trips, craft supplies for Dearest Daughter projects, or a movie date complete with snacks!

Fetch: Snap Receipts, Earn Rewards
Fetch is one of the easiest money-saving apps ever.
All you do is snap a picture of your printed store receipts from your groceries, gas stations, clothing stores, anywhere you shop. Fetch turns those receipts into points, and you can redeem those points for:
Visa cash cards
Store gift cards (Target, Amazon, Starbucks, etc.)
Fun money for your next adventure
It takes me about 2 minutes per day and the rewards add up surprisingly fast.

Rakuten — Cash Back for Online Shopping
If you shop online at all, Rakuten is so worth having.
Rakuten partners with hundreds of stores, and when you shop through the app or browser extension, you earn cash back on purchases you were already going to make.
And right now their offer is incredible:
If you sign up and spend $50, Rakuten gives you $50 back.
Instant doubling.
That’s a whole adventure day covered.
I’ve used Rakuten for so many online purchases and the cash-back checks that arrive are always such a blessing.
Wrap-up
These small rewards turn into movie nights, ice cream runs, craft days, road trip snacks, and sweet little splurges along the way. None of it feels stressful. It just feels like grace multiplied, one receipt and one tank of gas at a time.
And if these apps help us do a little more of that, I’m grateful for every penny they give back.
Hear is to many happy money saving adventures!
